The SR900 single rotor shredder/grinder is designed to reduce and release mixed items in a single pass while producing predictable, uniform particles. The Uni-Shear® SR900 is designed to accommodate a variety of pre-shredded materials.

This heavy-duty single rotor machine can handle tires, non-ferrous metals, copper wire, RDF, plastics and more. Internal screens with hole sizes from 12 to 50 mm (½ to 2 in) are available and drive options of 224 or 298 kW (300 or 400 hp) provide enough power and torque to process almost anything.

Low parts costs and easy service access are just some of the many features of the SR900 grinder.

General overhaul of the Franz Arnold & Söhne HS 560/630 scrap shears (built in 1998) for the Carinthian waste disposal company De Piero Schrott GmbH.

Our comprehensive services included inspection, damage assessment and determination of repair requirements to ensure that the shears were restored to optimum functionality.

During the initial inspection, Thomas Stadie carefully assessed the condition of the shears, identified areas that required attention and created a customized repair plan. Through a systematic damage assessment, he identified worn components, cylinder seal issues and blade bed imperfections, among others, laying the foundation for a thorough restoration process and replacement part requirements.

Our scope of work covered a wide range of tasks aimed at bringing the shears back to peak performance. This included the replacement of wearing parts, careful cylinder sealing to prevent leaks and optimize hydraulic efficiency, precision grinding of the blade bed to ensure accurate cutting performance, and the installation of a new press cover and side punch base. All worn bolts were replaced with high-quality new ones to ensure wear resistance over time. Throughout the repair process, Thomas Stadie provided expert on-site supervision as site supervisor, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards were maintained.

Upon completion of the repair work, the experienced team carried out a thorough inspection to confirm the restored functionality and performance of the shears, compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Most importantly, we are proud that the entire project was completed within the agreed timeframe of two months, underlining our commitment to efficiency and customer satisfaction.

In summary, the general overhaul of Franz Arnold & Söhne's HS 560/630 scrap shear is a testament to our expertise in the maintenance and repair of metal recycling machinery. With a focus on thorough inspection, precise damage assessment and careful execution, we succeeded in restoring the shears to optimum performance and meeting the customer's expectations.
